Privacy notice

This notice explains how your personal data is processed when you visit astastone.com and when you contact us, under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data we process

Identity and contact details: full name, company name, e-mail address, phone number, country.
Request details: the content of your message, the series you are interested in, your sample request and the delivery address for samples.
Technical data: the IP address, browser and device information and the date and time of your visit recorded in server logs.
Usage data (only if you allow cookies): the pages you visit, time spent on them, clicks and scrolling, approximate location (country and city), device and browser details and where you came to the site from. Google Analytics does not store your IP address.

Purposes

Answering your questions and your sample and quote requests; sending samples and preparing quotes.
Carrying out sales and contract processes.
Keeping the website secure and running.
Meeting legal obligations and answering requests from the authorities.
With your explicit consent, informing you about new series and offers.
With your permission, measuring how the website is used in order to improve it.

Legal grounds

We process your data because it is necessary to enter into or perform a contract, to meet a legal obligation, and for our legitimate interests provided your fundamental rights are not harmed (KVKK Article 5(2)(c), (ç) and (f); GDPR Article 6(1)(b), (c) and (f)).

Information and promotional e-mails are sent only with your explicit consent (KVKK Article 5(1); GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

Cookies for visit statistics and usage analysis, and the usage data collected through them, are processed only on the basis of your consent (Article 5(1) KVKK; Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page.

How we collect it

You give us your data through the contact form, e-mail, phone or WhatsApp; server logs are collected automatically when you visit the website.

Transfers

Limited to the purposes above, your data may be shared with courier companies for sending samples and with the competent public authorities where the law requires it.

The website runs on service providers located abroad: hosting by Vercel Inc. (USA) and the fonts by Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA); messages sent with the contact form are delivered to us by e-mail through the Web3Forms service; e-mail correspondence may be stored on our e-mail provider’s servers. These transfers are made in line with Article 9 of the KVKK.

If you allow cookies, usage data is processed by our measurement providers Google (Google Analytics; Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC) and Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Clarity) on servers abroad, including in the USA. This transfer is based on your consent.

How long we keep it

Request correspondence is kept for no more than two years after your request is closed; records the law requires us to keep longer (such as commercial books and documents) are kept for that period. Data based on consent is processed until you withdraw it. Data is then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Google Analytics cookies are kept for 13 months and visit data in Google Analytics for at most 14 months. In Microsoft Clarity, session recordings are kept for 30 days and aggregated click and scroll data for at most 13 months.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK and, where it applies, the GDPR, you have the right to:

learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it,
learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used accordingly,
know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred,
ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected,
ask for your data to be deleted or destroyed,
ask for corrections and deletions to be notified to the third parties it was transferred to,
object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis,
claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
